JAMMU, Dec 31: Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation Chand Nagar distributed blankets among needy Hockey players on the eve of New Year at Sports Filed Chatha, here today.
The Foundation distributed blankets to nearly 40 needy players including boys and girls who came here to attend coaching classes, organised by senior coach Angat Singh.
Narinder Singh Bali, Special Secretary Youth Services and Sports Department was chief guest of the event. He appreciated the role of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation in promoting Hockey in JK UT. He asked the budding players to choose Hockey as career and said that such coaching classes will keep youth away from drugs.
President, Dr Taran Singh appreciated Angat Singh senior Hockey coach for sparing his valuable time for offering coaching classes to budding players.
He further added that earlier the Foundation had distributed study materials including books and stationary items among the needy players from time to time and distributed ration among needy people during Covid-19 lockdown.
Others who spoke on the occasion included Mohinder Pal Singh, Angat Singh, Harmanan Singh and Akali Kour Singh.
