JAMMU, Oct 12: Block Level Inter Panchayat competitions for boys and girls of Block Panchari in the disciplines of Chess and Carrom concluded at Govt Higher Secondary School Panchari and CD Block Moungri in Govt. HSS Moungri.
S. Swarn Singh, District Youth Services & Sports Officer declared the competitions open, while Ajay Kumar Verma, District Metrological Officer Udhampur was the guest of honour. Madan Lal Gupta, Vice Principal HSS Panchari and Kuldeep Raj Sarpanch were the special guests.
About 378 boys and 260 girls drawn from different 21 Panchayats of the NES Block Panchari and CD Block Moungri for screening and 140 boys and 80 girls participated in the competitions.
The competition is being organized under the patronage of Dr Saleem-Ur-Rehman, Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K.

Chess Boys: Chulna Panchayat-Winner; Carom Boys: Kultyar Panchayat-Winner; Carom Girls: Sadhota Panchayat-Winner
The matches were officiated by Parshotam Kumar, Preetam Singh, Rakesh Khajuria, Vijay Kumar, Balbir Singh, Pankaj Bhushan, Karun Magotra, Rishi Kumar Sharma, Mohd Hussain, Satya Bhushan, Sourabh Pandit, Nisha Thakur, Sanjeev Khajuria, Amit Sharma, Ravi Kumar, Rakesh Kumar and Rajesh Kumar.
On the occasion, the chief guest distributed sports material to distant Govt Institutions of Zone Panchari.
