MENDHAR, Mar 28: Two days Block Level Sports Tournament in various disciplines including volleyball, kabaddi and kho-kho, organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Poonch under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India concluded today at Government Higher Secondary School, Harni.
In volleyball, Government Higher Secondary School, Harni trounced Nakamanjhari Club and emerged winners, whereas, in kabaddi, Sudan Club thrashed Government Higher Secondary School, Harni and lifted the title trophy. In kho-kho, Government Higher Secondary School, Harni smashed Government Girls High School, Harni and claimed title trophy.
The matches were officiated by Bashrat Husain, Sakinder Khan and Ayaz Khan, Physical Education Teachers.
On the valedictory function, Mohd Sageer, Naib Tehsildar, Harni was the chief guest, who awarded the winners in presence of Zahoor Sadiq, president, Baba Nazami Youth Club local populace and sports lovers.
Earlier, the tournament was declared open by Principal, Government Higher Secondary School, Harni.
