BLSKS presents 201st Musical Play ‘Maa Vaishno’

KATRA, Mar 25: to promote the traditional folk culture of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) staged 201st Saturday Series Musical Play “Maa Vaishno” under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India in collaboration Durga Pooja Samiti parts of its regular feature, here.
The function was inaugurated after lighting the traditional lamp by the chief guest VK Magotra, Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India, KK Joshi, Vice Chairman BLSKS, Dr Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director, Health Department, JK Raina, Freelancer Producer Director and Dr Anju Dogra from Health Department and Vinod Dogra, Chief Service Engineer Exide were the guests of honour.
The programme commenced with welcome songs “Jai Jai Sheranwali”, “Mayia he mahiya meri Mahiya ” and “Tum Durga Tum Laxmi Tum Hi Maa Sheranwali”.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest lauded the role of Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan-(NGO) for underlining the importance of staging such plays in all parts of the state in generating awareness among the masses about various social evils through Musical Play / Theatre / Drama which are still very powerful medium of communication.
“Maa Vaishno” Musical Play has been written, produced and directed by ML Dogra (Chairman BLSKS), who highlighted the importance of the play.
The music was assisted by MC Kotwal, Usha Handoo and Raju Bajgal.
Welcoming the dignitaries, Mr Dogra, chairman BLSKS explained aims and objectives of the programme and said Navratri Festival is celebrated twice in a year with great devotion and fervour in all over India adding that first time it is celebrated as Chaitra Navratri or Vasant Navratri in March-April and second time as Sharad Navratri in the months of September-October.
The artists included Usha Handoo, Raju Bajgal, Rajni Gupta, Raju Bajgal, RP Amla, Rakshit Sharma, Druv Pandit, Bodh Raj, MC Kotwal, Deevam Jandiyal, Ujwal Sharma, Renu Sapoo, Tilak Raj, Sonia Pandita, Divya Viyas,Uttam Singh, Sahil Kumar, Mohan Sharma, Megha Raina, Meetali, Meathli, Vansh Raina,Sapna Devi ,Vansh , Vanshika, Dinakar Wedhera, Rahul Mehra, Afroz Raaz, Darshan Rajwal and Ravi Kumar.
