JAMMU, Feb 13: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan performed it’s 89th Saturday Musical Play Series “Bharat Desh Mahaan” today in collaboration with Unison Cultural Troupe , Sangam Tru Art Production and ESRM at its Office Compound, Durga Bhawan, Disco Morh, Janipur, here.
The theme of the Play was National Integration and Communal Harmony.
The Play was written and Directed by ML Dogra, renowned writer and musical play director and former Assistant Director of Song and Drama Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.
The Program was inaugurated by VK Magotra, former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India as chief guest, while Romesh Chander, Event Director was the guest of honour.
The Programme commenced with the songs ” Ek Desh Ke Dularo Uncha Rahe Tiranga, Watna De Paredaro Uncha Rahe Tiranga”, “Ham Sab Ek Hain “, Koi Bole Ram Koi Allah Bole” , “Ao Juan Ek Hamara Khoon” & the music of the play was composed by renowned music teacher Raju Bajgal. The chief guest lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programmes colorful and effective on the theme of National Integration.
Earlier, welcoming the audience Mr Dogra highlighted the story of the play and urged upon the people to come forward in making India “A Proud Nation”.
On the occasion, renowned singers and actors including Usha Handoo , Raju Bajgal, K K Joshi, MC Kotwal, Rajni Gupta,.Hem Raj, Avtar Kour, Anjana Padwal, Jyoti Raina, Neetu Sharma, Rajni Rajput and Varsha Kumari presented enthralling performances.
