JAMMU, July 16: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in coordination with ESRM presented a musical play “Bacho Bacho Dengu Kola Bacho” at open air theatre Durga Bhawan, Janipur (Jammu) in its Saturday Theatre series to aware the masses of this vector borne diseases.
The program was inaugurated by chief guest, VK Magotra, former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.
Various skits, songs and dances were presented on the occasion to aware the masses. National unity, communal harmony, Indian democracy and Health were the main highlights of the cultural program presented by renowned artists namely Usha Handoo, Raju Bajgal, MC Kotwal, KK Joshi, Hem Raj and others.
Earlier welcoming the audience, ML Dogra, chairman of BLSKS, said, “Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne tropical disease caused by the dengue virus. Symptoms typically begin three to fourteen days after infection. This may include a high fever, headache, vomiting, muscle and joint pains, and a characteristic skin rash. Recovery generally takes less than two to seven days”.
The singers, musicians, actors and students of music and computer institute who performed in the musical play were Parul Sharma, Renu Saproo, Dhruv Pandit, Rajni Gupta, Bhumika Chib, Neelam Chib, Ritesh Magotra, Payal Sharma, Pooja Gupta and many others.
