JAMMU, Aug 8: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in close coordination with Unison Cultural Troupe, Sangam Tru Art Production and ESRM presented musical play “Jal Hi Jeevan” at open Air theatre, Durga Bhawan, Janipur, Jammu.
The play was written, produced and directed by ML Dogra. The program was inaugurated by chief guest, VK Magotra, while Romesh Chander and JK Raina, were guests of honor.
The program commenced with song “Jal Hi Jeevan”, “Ganga Tera Pani Amrit Pal-Pal Mela Hota Jaey”, “Ganga Par Kari De Ganga Mai”. The music was composed by Raju Bajgal and the songs sung by the artists and students of BLSKS.
The main objective of the play was to create awareness among the viewers about the scarcity of water, its importance for living beings and the need to save it.
The singers, musicians, actors and students of music and computer institute who performed were Usha Handoo, KK Joshi, MC Kotwal, Raju Bajgal, Sunil Kumar, Mohd Afroz Alam, Gunia, Dhruv Pandit, Aryan Verma, Surinder Verma, Shaksham Khajuria, JK Raina, Rajni Gupta ad many others.
