BMS demands identity cards for factory workers

JAMMU, May 6: Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) has demanded identity cards for the factory going workers as in the absence of the same they are not allowed by cops to move on the road in the ongoing Coronavirus triggered lockdown.
In a handout Harbans Choudhary, senior leader of BMS
said, in the ongoing complete lockdown in J&K industries are functioning properly but police stops the factories going workers and ask them to show identity cards while the fact is that maximum factory workers have not been provided these identity cards.
The BMS leader said that they have submitted a representation to Labour Commissioner J&K requesting to issue directions to factories owners and labour supplying contractors to issue identity cards to factory workers so that they can earn livelihood in this time of crisis.
