RAMBAN, Feb 15: Ukhral police nabbed a person along with illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, on a specific information, a team from Ukhral police post laid a naka at Makarkot-Ukhral Link road and a person namely Ratan Singh, son of Maan Chand of Narthyal, Ukhral was stopped for checking.
During checking, police recovered 40 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of the person and arrested him on the spot.
He was smuggling illicit liquor to his native village for sale among the people for illegitimate profit.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Ramsoo Police Station and investigation started.
The arrest was made by Incharge Ukhral police post SI Anil Choudhary under the supervision of SHO Ramsoo police station Inspector Mohammad Ameen, SDPO Banihal Mohammad Rafiq and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
