UDHAMPUR, Nov 6: Police today arrested a bootlegger from Mini Bus Stand area in the Udhampur town and seized 50 pouches of liquor from his possession.
The accused, identified as Sukh Ram of Thanoa in Udhampur, was arrested by a police party, led by Incharge District Special Branch Udhampur, ASI Madan Lal when he was smuggling the liquor pouches to his native village for their illegal sale there.
A case under Section 48 Excise Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Udhampur.
