JAMMU, Apr 10: Miran Sahib police arrested a bootlegger along with 38 pouches of illicit liquor.
A police spokesman said that, police team from Miran Sahib police station laid a naka at Simble and intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police recovered 38 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the bootlegger, who has been identified as Prithpal Singh, son of Baldev Singh of Simble Camp.
A case under FIR number 48/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Miran Sahib police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib police station SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Devinder Singh, SP Headquarters Randheer Singh and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
