JAMMU, Nov 20: Continuing the drive against smuggling of drugs in the holy town Katra, police today arrested a bootlegger along with large quantity of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, police team from Katra police station arrested a bootlegger from Kalika Temple Road along with 91 pouches of illicit liquor.
The accused has been identified as Sonu Sharma, son of Mohan Lal, a resident of Katra.
A case under 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Katra police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Katra police station Ajay Bhatt made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Ravail Singh and ASP Katra Kulbir Singh.
