SAMBA, Mar 22: Police at Bari Brahmana today arrested one bootlegger and recovered 15 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession.
Police sources informed that after getting specific information regarding sale of illicit liquor, a police party led by Inspector Darshan Singh, SHO Police Station Bari Brahmana under the supervision of Sunil Kesar, SDPO Bari Brahmana rushed to the spot and intercepted the bootlegger, Balwant Moria son of Jatadhari of Basantpur Mehrajgang, Uttar Pardesh presently at Bari Brahmana who was selling illicit liquor to the general public near Ahatah Market in Bari Brahmana. During frisking cops found 15 bottles illicit liquor from his possession and the same were seized.
In this regard, a case US 48 (F) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and further investigation were started.
