Border Lions lifts TPL title

SAMBA, May 16: Border Lions crushed Kehli Somerset and lifted the title trophy of the  Thalora Premier League (TPL), at Thalora Mandi Cricket Ground, here today.
Batting first after winning the toss, Border Lions made 104 runs for all out in 15 overs.
Arun made 22 runs off 12 balls, while Varun also scored 22 runs in 14 balls. Arun and Romi chipped in 19 and 13 runs.
For Kehli Somerset, Sunny and Amu scalped 3 wickets each, whereas Tinna and Manni took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Kehli Somerset bundled out at paltry 54 runs for all out. Kaka was the top scorer with 14 runs, while Jolie made 10 runs.
For Border Lions, Shallu was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 3 wickets, while Mukesh took 3 wickets, Rommi and Varun pocketed 2 and 1 wickets respectively.
The Man of the Match award was presented to Shallu, whereas the Man of the Series Award was clinched by Shashi Chib.
The match was officiated by Shashi Chib and Digvijay Singh.
On the valedictory function, Dr Davinder Mangal MLA Samba was the chief guest, who presented the awards in presence of Lucky Singh, Sarpanch, Bhagwan Singh, Shivraj Singh, Subash Singh, Vijay Singh, Raman Singh, Rakesh Singh, Amar Singh, Jangvir Singh.
The tournament was organized by Virabimaniyu, Vishal Dev, Abinash Singh and Shannu Singh.
