JAMMU, Mar 15: Further intensifying his poll campaign on the second day of his visit to Poonch district, BJP candidate for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat, Jugal Kishore Sharma, bemoaned the pathetic situation in which border migrants and refugees are living there.
Addressing public meetings and election rallies at various places in the district today he said“ they are the most neglected lot”, adding the people of Surankote, Draba, Thanamandi, Rajal, Bagnoti, Lamberi, Siot, Bakhar, Bal and Thanda Pani are virtually living in a dark age as the present Congress-NC Coalition Government like the previous dispensations, have done nothing to create the required infrastructure in the entire Poonch-Rajouri border belt.
There are many villages which do not get power supply for days together he said, and added that the story of healthcare and educational facilities and potable water is no way different.
Mr Sharma pooh-poohed the claim of the Congress that the Coalition Government has created many new tehsils, niyabats, sub-divisions and community development blocks to the administration to the doorsteps of the people and said that truth is that the Government has only earmarked Rs. 5 crores for the purpose despite the fact that the government requires about Rs. 1500 crores and more than 1000 employees to make the proposed new administrative unit functional. “The Congress-NC coalition is simply hoodwinking and misleading the people by preaching false hood,” he added.
Addressing various corner meetings Sharma underscore the significance of the scheduled general election and urged the people to vote for the BJP and strengthen the hands of the party PM candidate Narendra Modi. He said vote for BJP will be a vote for political stability, economic prosperity, infrastructure development, National security, social and political regeneration of the people of the country.
State general secretary & Parliamentary Constituency election campaign & Management Incharge Bali Bhagat said that the corruption in J&K under the present Congress-NC coalition government is the only major achievement.  The areas of Rajouri and Poonch have been discriminated in all matters, he added.
