RAMBAN, May 27: Police foiled a bid of bovine smuggling by arresting two smugglers and rescued 18 animals during naka checking at Basra Dharam, Gool.
Reports said that acting on specific information, Police laid a Naka at Basra Dharam and intercepted four persons carrying 18 bovine towards Kashmir valley. Two smugglers fled away from the spot while the other two, identified as Mohd Salim and Javid Ahmed were arrested by police.
A case has been registered in this connection.
