RAMBAN, Apr 30: Ramban police foiled a bid of smuggling bovine animals to Kashmir valley and arrested the accused in this connection.
According to police, acting on specific information, a naka was laid on the National Highway at Kunfer Nallah Chanderkote. During the naka, police intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK02W/2386, which was loaded with five bovine animals for smuggling to Valley. Police rescued the bovines and arrested the smuggler, identified as Imtayaz Ahmed of Rakhjarog. The vehicle was also seized besides registration of a case in this connection at Police Station Chanderkote.
