RAMBAN, Feb 6: Gool police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid by arresting five persons and rescuing six bovine animals from their possession.
According to a police spokesperson, the bovines were rescued from the two Tata Mobiles bearing registration no JK20A-1729 and JK20-4783. The five arrested accused are driver of one of the vehicles, Qasim Ali son of Nazam Din of Thuru (Reasi), Khushi Mohd son of Roshan Din Chouhan of Basin (Thuru), Mohd Aslam (driver of 2nd vehicle) s/o Ghulam Mohd of Mahore, Shamim Ahmed son of Noor Mohd of Sajroo (Mahore) and Shoket Ali s/o Ali Mohd Ghegi of Dukser (Gool).
The arrest was made by a police party of police station Gool led by SHO, Inspector Vinay Parihar under the supervision of Deputy SP Gool, Mohd Amin Bhat, and overall guidance of Additional SP Ramban, Mushtaq Choudhry and SSP Ramban, Mohal Lal.
In this regard, a case FIR No 14/2018 under Section 188 RPC 3PC Act stands registered at police station Gool and investigations started.
