RAJOURI, Feb 14: The police rescued eight bovine animals being smuggled in a Tata Mobile and seized the vehicle in Solki area during early hours today.
Offcial sources said that on Monday morning, a team of police from Dharamsal Police Station under the supervision of SHO Neeraj Choudhary, intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle with registration number JK11E- 7986, being driven by unknown driver which was found loaded with eight bovine animals.
The driver of the vehicle escaped from the spot soon after observing police naka and ran away towards nearby forest. The vehicle was plying towards Rajouri from Bhambla via Kadma- Solki area.
The bovines were tied with ropes in an very cruel manner. On this, a case FIR number 12/2022 under section 188 IPC 11 PCA Act has been registered.
