Bovines smuggling bids foiled; 18 cattle rescued, 4 arrested

JAMMU, May 4: Ghagwal and Bhallra police foiled bovine smuggling bids by rescuing 18 cattle and arresting four persons.
As per police spokesman, during routine checking, a team from Ghagwal Police Station intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AQ-4911.
During checking, police rescued 15 cattle from the truck and arrested three persons, who have been identified as Liaqat Ali (driver), son of Mohammad Shafi of Sidhra, Bhag Hussain, son of Alaf Din of RS Pura and Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Gulab Din Gujjar of Gujjar Colony Sunjwan, at present Dablar RS Pura.
A case under FIR Number 69/18 under Section 188 RPC, 2/3 PCA Act, 177/184 MV Act has been registered at Ghagwal Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ghagwal Inspector Amit Andotra foiled the bovines smuggling bid under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Samba Deepak Digra and SSP Samba Anil Magotra.
Meanwhile, a team from Bhallra Police Post rescued 3 bovine animals and arrested a smuggler during checking at Jai Top area of district Doda.
The arrested person has been identified as Abdul Majeed, son of Gandhra Wani, a resident of Tanta Gandoh.
A case under FIR Number 55/18 under Sections 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Bhaderwah Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Bhallra Police Post Balwant Parihar rescued the bovines and arrested the accused under the supervision of SHO Bhadarwah Munir Ahmed, SDPO Bhadarwah Brijesh Sharma, Additional SP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
