Bovines smuggling bids foiled

JAMMU, June 10: Nagrota Police foiled bovines smuggling bids by rescuing 26 cattle and arresting three persons.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Nagrota laid a naka and intercepted two vehicles bearing registration numbers JK05A-9404 and NL01N-9277.
During checking, police team rescued 26 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested three persons, who were identified as Amandeep Singh, son of Harpal Singh of District Baramulla, Sanjeev Dhanuwar, son of Bhalerius Dhanuwar of Assam and Altaf Hussain, son of Bashir Ahmed of Krimchi Mansar District Udhampur.
Cases under FIR Numbers 263/2021 and 264/2021 under relevant sections of law were registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shoket made the arrests under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh.
