JAMMU, Mar 6: Splendid bowling show by almost all the bowlers of National Cricket Club (NCC) helped it to thrash Anu Memorial Cricket Club by 9 wickets in a one-sided contest of the ongoing 1st Drug Free Youth Gharota T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Country Cricket Academy at the Academy ground, here.
The tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Director Country Cricket Academy, Vivek Sharma, former Ranji Trophy player.
Earlier, NCC bowlers wrecked havoc to bundle-out Anu Memorial Cricket Club for paltry 60 runs. All the batsmen failed to face NCC bowlers, who bowled with decent line and length. Sanjay Sharma, Pranav Mahajan, Deepak Singh Manhas, Inderjeet Singh and Vijay Dogra shared 2 wickets each.
In reply, NCC chased the target easily in 6 overs by losing one wicket, thus won the match by 9 wickets. Nitin Mehra scored unbeaten 19 runs. Deepak Singh Manhas was adjudged man of the match.
