BPL concludes at Baramulla

BARAMULLA, Nov 29: The Baramulla Premier League (BPL) concluded on Saturday with finals between BCC Red and BCC Blue played at Shoukat Ali stadium here.
According tot a handout issued here the knockout tournament had begun on November 9, 2014, in which 16 teams divided in 4 pools participated.
In the finals today, BCC blue lost the toss and was put into bat first. The target score was reached by BCC Red within the stipulated 20 overs.
Mudassar Ganai of BCC Blue was adjudged as the man of the series and Aaqib of BCC Red as man of the match.
All the semifinalists were presented with cricket kits in addition to prizes for winners and runners up. Several prominent personalities from army, police and civil administration were present.
“The tournament was a huge success and has helped the youth in promoting sports culture. The teams requested for a similar tournament next year,” claimed organizers.
The BPL was organized by Army’s 46 Rashtriya Rifles Unit.
