JAMMU, Jan 4: BJP leader Braham Jyot Satti takes up the issue of sports policy and SRO 349 with Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary, Youth Services & Sports today.
A delegation of sports persons met with Braham Jyot Satti president BJP OBC Morcha JK-UT and discussed their problems regarding sports policy and Sports SRO -349 with him. They are suffering a lot despite bringing laurels to the nation as well as UT and still are waiting for their rights for past over six years. Satti was informed that even not a single person was recruited under sports SRO after 2013. Braham Jyot listened the issue and had a telephonic conversation with Alok Kumar Principal Secretary, Youth Services and Sports.
Alok Kumar assured that issue of Sports SRO 349 and sports policy is almost ready and within days the sports persons get justice and Job rights.
Braham Jyot, while interacting with sportsmen praised all sports fraternity and said “We are proud of our sportspersons who have brought laurels to the country as well as UT of Jammu and Kashmir in their respective sports disciplines.
He said sports persons are main pillars of society and they should be treated well. Unfortunately they are facing crises without jobs from a long period of time and some are working as labourers after achieving name and fame in sports.
He said “It is not a good sign when Central Government is doing appreciable works in promoting sports culture in the country, our sports persons who have brought laurels to State by their commendable performances at international and national levels are still living in abject poverty after winning huge number of medals”.
He said couple of months ago he has written to Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha regarding this issue and again he appealed to Lieutenant Governor to resolve this as soon as possible.
He complimented Alok Kumar for positive response and said BJP OBC Morcha stands with all segments of society and if anyone needs any kind of help he can contact the Morcha which will provide appropriate help to him.
