Srinagar, Oct 12: A brick kiln operating in Budgam was today penalized for producing and selling undersize and under-weight bricks in total violation of orders by the district administration.
As per details, the Legal Metrology, Budgam seized a brick lot from M/s Shalimar Brick kiln, Nasrullapora Budgam and found them to be undersize and under-weight.
After that, a fine of Rs 25,000 was slapped against M/s Shalimar Brick kiln with an affirmation through an affidavit from the concerned offender that the lapse would be rectified immediately.
It was also given out by the owner that to clear the old stock, a rebate of 0.40 rupees per brick will be given over and above the rate fixed by Deputy Commissioner Budgam to the customers who are willing to buy the under-sized and underweight bricks.
