JAMMU, July 7: Young and promising batsman, Aarav Mahajan slammed second successive century to guide Tawi Cricket Academy (TCA) thrash Udhampur Cricket Academy (UCA) by a huge margin of 294 runs in the second match of 1st Maharaja Hari Singh Memorial 3-Match One-Day Series, being jointly organized by UCA and TCA at Country Cricket Stadium Gharota, near here.
Earlier, batting first, TCA scored a mammoth total of 336 runs in 50 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Aarav scored magnificent 135 runs, studded with 18 fours and 2 sixes. It was his second consecutive century as he scored a hundred yesterday in the first match of the tournament. He was in awe-inspiring touch and hit the ball with fluidity, grace and brilliance, while Daman contributed unbeaten 94 runs with the help of 13 boundaries. Sachin Sharma and Awadh contributed 33 and 26 runs to the total respectively. For UCA, Takshdeep and Nikhil bagged 2 wickets each, while Ritik and Vansh claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, UCA bundled out for paltry 87 runs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 249 runs. For TCA, Bhuvnesh captured 4 wickets, while Nishay and Sourav took 2 wickets each. For his extraordinary batting display Aarav Mahajan was adjudged as man of the match.
The last match of the three match series will be played at the same venue tomorrow.
