JAMMU/SRINAGAR, June 7: Ace all-rounder Sarla Devi continued her brilliance and scored a magnificent century to guide her team to semifinals stage as semis lineup has been drawn with A1, A2, B1, B2 sealing berth in the last four stage of the ongoing Senior Womens One-Day Tournament, being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at different venues across the Union Territory.
Four matches were played today with two in each province.
Meanwhile, at GGM Science College Hostel Ground Jammu, JKCA A4 defeated A2 by 4 wickets.
Earlier, batting first, JKCA A4 scored a big total of 278 runs. Sanjana top scored with 59 runs, while Shannu, Heena and Shivangi contributed 43, 27 and 26 runs to the total respectively. For JKCA A2, Himani Dogra took 2 wickets, while Sarla, Kajal and Muskan claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, JKCA A2 managed to score 242 runs, thus lost the match by 36 runs. Sarla scored a superb century (120*), while Himani Dogra contributed valuable 58 runs. Sarla, in particular, was at her butchering best, who sent the bowlers on a leather-hunt and showed stellar grit and tenacity to notch up a swashbuckling century. Sania took 2 wickets for JKCA A4.
At University of Jammu Ground, JKCA A1 defeated A5 by 6 wickets.
Batting first, JKCA A5 scored paltry total of 96 runs. Bawandeep played a magnificent innings of unbeaten 68 runs. She carried the bat through. For JKCA A1, skipper Sandhya Sayal took 3 wickets, while Shivanti claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, JKCA A1 chased the target by losing 4 wickets to win the match by 6 wickets. Urvashi scored 25 runs, while Shivanti and Shambhavi contributed 22 and 18 runs respectively. For A5, Aliya took 3 wickets, while Bhagya Lakshmi claimed 1 wicket each.
At Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium Ground-A, JKCA B2 defeated B5 by 2 wickets.
Batting first, B5 scored 135 runs in 41.4 overs. Inform Sheerazah Banoo scored splendid 67 runs, while Kayinat Bakshi contributed 20 runs to the total. For B2, Rounak Jahan was pick of the bowlers, who captured 4 wickets, while Gousia Shahban bagged 2 wickets.
In reply, B2 chased the target in 27.3 overs by losing 7 wickets, thus won the match by 3 wickets. Bismah Hassan top scored with unbeaten 54 runs, while Fancy Jan contributed 35 runs to the total. Khushboo Aftab took 4 wickets, while Aabroo claimed 2 wickets for JKCA B5.
At Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium, Ground-B, JKCA B4 got the better of B3 by 66 runs.
Batting first, B4 scored a good total of 190 runs. Bilquees Rasool top scored with 52 runs, while Rafiya contributed 40 runs to the total. For bowling side, Aqsa took 4 wickets, while Qounser Jabeen claimed 3 wickets.
In reply, JKCA B3 bundled out for 124 runs in 38.5, thus lost the match by 66 runs. For bowling side, Arwin bagged 4 wickets, while Bilquees Rasool claimed 2 wickets.
