BSF ASI injured in Pak firing

RAJOURI, Aug 3:  An Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI)  of  BSF was injured after he was fired upon by Pak troops from across the LoC in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri late this evening .
Official sources said that incident took place when ASI,  SK Mishra of Border Security Force was on routine patrol along with some Jawans near Sunderbani. He was hit by a sniper shot from across the LoC and sustained injury on his Arm. He was rushed to Sunderbani Unit Hospital and then referred to Army Hospital, Rajouri.
Meanwhile, a jawan of the Army was injured in a mine blast in forward area of Poonch sector this afternoon. The jawan stepped over a mine which exploded with a big bang causing serious injuries to his foot and leg. Identified as Jaipal Singh, the soldier has been airlifted to Command Hospital, Udhampur.
