JAMMU, Oct 23: Police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested three narcotic smugglers along with 300 grams heroin from Shastri Nagar area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gandhi Nagar police station.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Gandhi Nagar police station raised a naka near cremation ground, Shastri Nagar and intercepted a car bearing registration number PB10F-5895 and arrested three persons.
A case under FIR Number 243/16 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Gandhi Nagar police station and investigation started to ascertain the source and destination of this consignment.
Police team led by SI Balram Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Gandhi Nagar police station Inspector Bishnesh Kumar, SDPO South Sachin Gupta and SP South Shahzad Ahmed Salaria.
