BSF organizes friendly cricket tournament

JAMMU, Mar 5: 126 Bn BSF organized a friendly cricket tournament amongst the local border village under Civic Action Programme at Bn HQ Painthee, which concluded, today.
Earlier, the Tournament was inaugurated by Hari Lal, Commandant. Cricket teams of bordering village including Koulpur, Sinki, Koulpur camp, Barota, Rangoor, Galar, Pakhri and team of 126 Bn BSF participated in this tournament. Team of Village Koulpur camp won the tournament.
Commandant 126 Bn has distributed prizes which included cricket kits, sports items, track suits, trophies and medals among the winners, runners-up and the team that bagged third spot.
The tournament provided platform to the talented youth of the sensitive border belt to exhibit their sporting skills before huge audience.
Refreshment was also provided by the unit to players who participated in the tournament under Civic Action Programme.
The people of the area, while thanking Border Security Force (BSF) Officers, requested them to organize more such tournament in future.
At the end, vote of thanks was presented by Hari Lal, Commandant 126 Bn.
