BSF Paloura clinches U-19 boys football title

JAMMU, Aug 24: BSF School Paloura drubbed APS Domana by two goals to nil in the summit clash and lifted the Under-19 boys inter-school football title at Parade Ground, here today.
It was Parveen of BSF Paloura who pelted both the goals to help his team emerge victorious.
Earlier, in the semifinals, APS Domana defeated SRML by two goals to one (2-1) via tie-breaker and BSF Plaoura got better of its rival by a solitary goal.
Director General Youth Services and Sports, Navin Aggarwal was chief guest on the concluding function, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
Tirath Ram, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu was present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, in fencing Under-19 boys, Kushal Sharma, Fared Ahmed Choudhary and Amit Singh got gold, silver and bronze in sabre event, while in U-19 boys foil event, Ranvijay, Nijhal Raina and Raja Aamir Khan got gold, silver and bronze respectively.
In epee Under-19 boys, Pankaj, Ravi and Shubam claimed gold, silver and bronze respectively.
In Under-19 girls sabre, Sonam, Ravika and Tania bagged gold, silver and bronze, while in U-19 girls foil, Kamini bagged gold, Jasmine Chib clinched silver and Vikran Sharma claimed bronze.
Meanwhile, in Under-19 girls epee, Diksha Pandey, Akanksha and Shriya Sudan claimed gold, silver and bronze respectively.
