BSF School celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, May 9: BSF School Jammu celebrated its Annual Day with pomp and show, here today.
The celebrations began with the warm welcome of the guests.
Rajeev Krishna IG BSF, Jammu Frontier-the chairperson of the School was the chief guest on the occasion, while Meenakshi Singh, president BWWA, Jammu Frontier was the guest of honour.
The programme with the lighting of the traditional lamp which was followed by Ganesh Vandana.
Dr S S Khokhar, Principal BSF School presented the Annual Report, focusing on the school’s achievements and reiterated the importance of parental involvement and management’s support in partnership with the school.
The cultural programme on the theme ‘Navras’, the nine emotions of life was presented by the students. Students showcased their love for the culture and tradition of the region through the folk dance ‘Geetru’. The tiny tots in their colourful costumes and graceful steps enthralled the audience with their various performances. The orchestra of the school got a thunderous applause. ‘Ghar Yaad Aata Hai Mujhe’ touched every ones heart with the wonderful depiction of the plight of girl child.
Later-on, the chief guest Rajeev Krishna distributed prizes among the meritorious students in the field of academics and sports.
