JAMMU, Aug 30: The Investiture Ceremony of BSF School Jammu for the academic session 2017-18 was held in a special assembly in the school premises, here.
The ceremony was held with lots of zeal and zest. It commenced with pinning of badges and flaps to the elected leaders by the Principal, Dr SK Shukla, followed by staff members.
The Students Council took the pledge to hold the school motto “Darkness to Light” in high esteem.
Shubham Kumar was elected as the School Captain while Abhijeet Parihar and Smily Thapa were elected as Head Boy and Head Girl respectively. Prefectorial Board was also constituted on the occasion.
Principal Dr S K Shukla emphasized and stressed on the importance of honesty, integrity and hardwork as vital qualities for positions of dignity.
While congratulating the elected students, he said that the ability to overcome challenges, a resilient attitude and dedication are the true qualities of a successful leader.
The function concluded with the vote of thanks by the CCA In-charge Urnima Thaploo, PGT (History).
