BSF School stood 2nd in Judo C’ship

Jammu, Dec 13: BSF Primary School remained 2nd in the North Zone Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Judo Championship, organised at Indian Model School Sonipat, Haryana.
More than 300 students from 140 schools of Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and UT of Jammu and Kashmir participated in the championship wherein BSF School excelled in the tournament by winning eight medals in both the categories of boys and girls under-11 and qualified for the 9th time in the next level of the championship to be held in the month of January, 2023.
The School stood winner in the girls category, while 2nd spot secured in the boys category. The medals were presented to the winners by Dronacharya Awardee and wrestler Raj Singh Chhikara.
In the girls category (open Kg), Manita Saproo bagged Gold, whereas in 35 kg Arvi Rathore and Manya Kandhari got Bronze medals. Similarly, in the 35 kg boys, Avikam Singh Chib and Arjun Sharma won Silver and Bronze respectively and in 25kg, Anirud Singh clinched Bronze. In addition, Ranveer Singh won Silver in 30kg, and in the 40 kg, Ritvik Sharma got Bronze medal.
Sonia Gupta, Headmaster of the School honoured the judokas who brought laurels for the School under the guidelines of NIS Judo Coach Rameshwar Singh Jamwal.
