JAMMU, June 23: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) flayed the Union Government for hike in railway fare by 14.2 percent and will take out a protest rally in this regard on June 25.
Addressing a press conference, Narinder Kashyap, National general secretary of BSP, said that steep hike of 14.2 percent in railway passenger fare and 6.5 per cent in freight charges as declared by the Union Government even before the presentation of the Railway Budget, has thoroughly exposed the sincerity of the NDA Government for the welfare of the common man.
He further stated that the people of India have not expected that the new Union Government within a short span of time, will forget its promises of better days and will bring bad days.
Union Government should take step back for the welfare of people and these kind of step will make people anti-Government, he added.
He informed that BSP would organize a protest rally against the Government from Satwari Chowk to Raj-Bhawan on June 25.
He appealed all the people to come forward and sign the memorandum of BSP, which would ultimately submitted before Union Government.
