UDHAMPUR, May 24: Kud police arrested a bus driver along with 8 kilograms of poppy straw.
As per police sources, police team from Kud police station laid a naka and intercepted a bus bearing registration number JK02Y-0432.
During checking, police recovered 8 kilograms of poppy straw and arrested the bus driver, who has been identified as Manjeet Singh, son of Mohan Singh of Nanak Nagar, Jammu. The bus was also seized.
A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at police station Kud and investigation started.
