BVP organizes ‘Bharat Ko Jano’ quiz competition

JAMMU, Nov 23: Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP), Shivshakti Branch, Greater Kailash, organized the “Bharat Ko Jano” Interschool Quiz Competition at Cybernetic Secondary School, Bandhurakh Road, here today.
The event, aimed at promoting knowledge and cultural awareness among students, saw participation from seven schools, with 30 students competing across two categories: Junior Standard (Classes 6-8) and Senior Standard (Classes 9-12).
The competition was inaugurated with a ceremonial lamp-lighting by distinguished guests, including chief guest Dr DK Manyal (MLA of Ramgarh Constituency), guest of honour Dr Dev Raj Sharma (National convenor for Environment, BVP) and State president of BVP JK Prant Bharat Bhushan Sharma. Other dignitaries present included national and state committee members, along with Preeti Sharma, Director of Cybernetic Secondary School.
The program began at 9:30 AM with cultural performances of Saraswati Vandana and Vande Mataram, followed by a welcome address by Branch president Rakesh Sharma, who highlighted the Branch’s initiatives, such as Bharat Ko Jano, Gaushala Seva, and the Need Your Help campaign.
In the Junior Standard category, the first place was secured by Heritage School, represented by Adamya Randhawa and Niyati Bajaj. Jammu Sanskriti School, with participants Arshdeep Kaur and Sonakshi Bhat, claimed the second spot, while the third place went to Government High School Kaluchak, represented by Kanchan Ahirwar and Rashmi Ahirwar.
In the Senior Standard category, Arav Arora and Saksham Pangotra took the top spot. Cybernetic School, represented by Ritish Pikhen and Shweta Kumari, earned second place, and Jammu Sanskriti School, with participants Saksham and Nehar, finished third.
Dr Manyal distributed prizes to the winners. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Lalit Verma.
