KATHUA, Sept 3: In order to inculcate and to know more about their Culture, Religion, History Geography, Arts, Constitution and other fields related to India, Bharat Vikas Parishad Kathua (BVPK) unit has organized a quiz competition.
Around 50 students from 12 different schools participated in the quiz competition held in two categories: junior category (Class 6-8) and senior category (Class 9-12).
The Bharat quiz program was held in three rounds, the written round, the visual round and the current affairs round. Use of Computer technology was introduced for the first time in the competition under the supervision of Principal Reena Khajuria and Chairperson, Manisha Gupta.
Nav Adarsh School, Kathua bagged 1st position, Dhawani Priya and Anjal Jasrotia of Tiny Scholars School, Logate Morh clinched 2nd spot having a tie with MSK Hr. Sec. School while R.S. Golden and Minerva bagged 3rd spot in the senior categories while SpringDales School, R.S. Golden School secured 1st and 2nd positions, respectively. Rasanpreet and Rijul Sharma of Tiny Scholars School, Logate Morh, Kathua bagged 3rd position in the junior category. The winners of the competition were given mementos and certificates while all participants were given participation certificates.
Ashok Gupta, President of the organization, emphasized upon the need of such a competition so as to develop a quest among students to know about the country and the nation to build confidence among the students to face the future challenges in their lives.
