KARGIL, June 27: Highlighting the achievements of the last one year of the Narendra Modi Government, former chairman J&K Legislative Council, and senior BJP leader Haji Anayat Ali today said during the first year of his tenure in second term, Prime Minister, Modi strengthened the integrity of India by abrogating Article 370 & 35A from Constitution of India thus making Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh Union Territories respectively.
Talking to reporters here, today along with Mohammadd Hassan Pasha former State BJYM vice president, Mohsin Ali Councilor LAHDC Kargil, Zaheer Babar president, Municipal Corporation Kargil, Zakir Hussain district general secretary, BJP, Haji Sadiq Ali president BJP Kargil Town, Mohd Hussain president BJYM Kargil district and Mohd Javid office Incharge district Kargil, he said that it empowered the residents of both the UTs and provided them with rights and it was a historic step towards Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
Praising the Modi Government, Haji Anayat Ali said that it sanctioned the highest ever 5,958 crore budget for UT Ladakh. This will lead to all-round development of Union Territory of Ladakh, he added.
He said during the one year tenure of Modi Government in Kargil district developmental like, Kargil Airport selected under UDAN 4.0 “Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik”, Rebidding of Zojila Tunnel on Fast track basis, evacuation of a large number of Kargil pilgrims from Iran during the Corona Virus, evacuation of Kargil students and senior citizens from different State’s, distribution of free ration for needy families, refilling of free cylinder gas under the Ujwala Yojana for three months, and sanctioning of 30 Mobile Jio towers specially for uncovered rural areas of Kargil district under USOF.
Haji Anayat said that the Modi Government introduced one nation one ration card policy to provide ration and affordable houses for the poor migrant laborers in every State and also the wages of laborers working under MGNREGA were increased from Rs 182 to Rs 202. New pension schemes were launched for farmers, laborers and shopkeepers above 60 years of age at Rs 3000 per month. Besides, the historical Ayushman Bharat Scheme under which any registered family could avail a health insurance of Rs 5 lac for getting treatment.
He said that when the world was feeling helpless due to COVID-19, in India the decisions taken by the Modi Government like Janata curfew, timely lockdown under the slogan Jaan Hai Toh Jahan Hai played the most important role in the controlling the immediate outbreak.
Haji Anayat further appreciated the Modi Government for making India capable of producing three lakh PPE kits & N95 masks daily and also for the rapid testing of corona patients for which 610 new testing labs have been established nationwide in short span of time resulting in the lowest death rate in India compared to the world.
