JAMMU, July 9: The vibrant atmosphere of the New Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council (JKSC) Indoor Sports Complex at MA Stadium in Jammu was electrifying as athletes from every corner of the Jammu and Kashmir UT showcased their remarkable skills at the selection trials for the Cadet and Junior National Taekwondo Championships held here today.
Under the keen observation of Suraj Bhan, Judo Coach at JKSC, these talented athletes competed for the prestigious opportunity to represent Team J&K in the upcoming 7th Cadet Kyorugi/ Poomsae Championships from August 2 to 4 in Visakhapatnam and the 41st Junior National Taekwondo Championships from August 18 to 20 in Aurangabad.
The selected players in the junior category will undergo an intensive training camp organized by the J&K Sports Council, while the J&K Taekwondo Association will conduct a specialized training program for the Cadet Players.
Nissar Hussain, Vice President of JKTA, Chandeep Singh, World Championship Medalist, Danish Manzoor, International Player and Fit India Ambassador, Vinod Grewal, Office Secretary of JKTA, and Burhan Khan, Coordinator of JKTA were among the dignitaries present on this occasion.
The trials were conducted under the expert guidance of Atul Pangotra, an International Referee and Coach. The referee and technical panel, comprising Hashim Majeed, Zain Nazir, Sushant Singh, Amit Kumar, and Dushyant Kapta, ensured that the trials ran smoothly and fairly.
