JAMMU, Dec 5: Ahead of Christmas celebrations, Hotel Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Jammu kicked off the cake mixing season by hosting its annual ‘Cake Mixing Ceremony’.
On this occasion chief guest RJ Manhas, RJ Vasudha and Shekhar Banotra from 91.9 Red FM Jammu Station along with hotel staff and guests rolled up their sleeves and participated in a hearty mixing of dry fruits and nuts for plum cakes with spirits.
Apart from the staff members and invited guests, senior executives of the Hotel were also present on the occasion.
General Manager of the Hotel, Neeraj Mishra together with Associate Director of Sales, Tushar Muglani said that cake mixing is a ritual which hails from Europe wherein the mixture is emptied into large containers and stored for days before Christmas with occasional stirring in between.
A handout stated that the cake mixing began with handing over of aprons, gloves and Santa caps to the guests.
This was followed by the chefs, other staff members of the Hotel and guests coming together to mix the ingredients.
The process began with adding the fruits and nuts to a large container and pouring the spirits.
Christmas decor and live crooning added immensely to the camaraderie of the event.
This was followed by a scrumptious spread by the culinary maestros of the Hotel to celebrate the festival with a perfect blend of Christmas spirit and cheer.
After the traditional cake mixing ceremony, the mixture was put into airtight bags and left to mature until around Christmas when it will be blended with the cake batter and baked.
