Camp to select Indian team for Nehru Cup begins

BANGLORE, Aug 3:
A ten-day camp for selection of Indian team for Jawaharlal Nehru International Gold Cup began at the Bangalore Football Stadium Ground here today.
The camp, which was to begin from July 27 at Delhi, had  been shifted to Bangalore due to heavy rain in the national capital.
In all 38 probables will be undergoing the camp under  close watch of Holland Coach Wim Koremans who will be incharge of the camp.
Following are the probables: Subrata Paul, Subhasish Roy Chowhdury, Karanjit Singh, Arindam Bhattacharja, Gurpreet Singh Sindhu (all goal keepers), Anthony Pereira, Gilbert Oliveira, Sanju Pradhan, Clifford Rayes Miranda, Jewel Raja Shaikh, Francisco Fernandes, Alwyn George, Denson Devdas Lalrindika Ralte, Mehtab Hossain, Adil Khan, O Milan Singh, Baldeep Singh, Syud Rahim Nabi, Gurijinder Singh, N Mohan Raj, Raju Eknath (all mid fielders), Gaikwad, K H Meitei Singh, Shouvik Ghosh, M Gouramangi Singh, Gurwinder Singh, Rowilson Rolando Rodrigues, Nirmal Chettri, Denzil Michael Franco, Nicholau Colaco (all defenders), Robin Singh, Sunil Chhetri, Manandeep, Je Je Lalpekhlue, Ch Suhsil Kumar Singh, Lenny Rodrigues, Joaquim Santan Abranches (all forwards).
The championship is scheduled to be held at Delhi on August 22 and the final is slated for September 2. (UNI)
