JAMMU, Nov 9: Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) conducted a campus placement drive as part of its ‘Professional Social Responsibility’, here.
A placement drive for Iron Network, LLC was conducted through YCET on November 8. Iron Networks is a Fremont, California based technology company which builds IT infrastructure and appliance offerings for data centres and SaaS providers. As a leader in turnkey rack-level hardware manufacturing, integration and supply chain management, and support solutions, Iron is one of the few industry leaders which is capable of upholding 4-Hour SLA’s across the globe for almost any piece of hardware.
A total of 20 students were shortlisted out of which 9 students passed the written assessment. At the end of the gruelling selection process including group discussion, personal interviews and technical rounds. Five students namely Divjot Singh, Taniya Choudahary, Deveshwar Singh Wazir, Chakshit Mahajan and Arishpreet Kour Bali were selected. These students will join the company with an annual package of 3.5 lakh.
The program was conducted by the Placement Cell of YCET Jammu. Many officials from the company and the College were involved to properly drive the placement process.
The students did practice a lot for the preparation of drives and the College has arranged many workshops for students on the latest topics. Bavneet Taneja, HR hailed the efforts put by the College in nurturing and exploring the young minds for a better tomorrow.
Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions (JGEI), Jammu Chairman and other office bearers congratulated the selected students. The placement drive was coordinated by Robin Kumar, HoD Computer Engineering Department and organized byDinesh Gupta, Head, Training and Placement Cell of YCET.
