JAMMU, July 6: A campus placement drive was conducted at Government Polytechnic, Bikram Chowk Jammu, for the final semester Polytechnic students of 2018 batch in Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation & Control Engineering of Government Polytechnics of Jammu division.
The drive was conducted by HPCL-Mittal Energy Limited for recruitment in Guru Gobind Singh Refinery at Bathinda in Punjab. The company offered a package of three lakhs plus performance bonus 0-15 percent of CTC besides accommodation and other benefits.
Team members from HPCL interacted with students for Pre- Placement Talk followed by rigorous recruitment process with Written Test (Technical), Psychometric Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
A total of 32 students appeared for placement. The final interview of the shortlisted candidates with appointment order will be conducted in the company at Bhatinda.
Arun Bangotra, Principal Govt Polytechnic Jammu impressed upon the students to make full use of their professional and technical skill for employability to various organizations. The placement drive was organized by Rajesh Khajuria, Training and Placement Officer, Ajay Thapa, P K Angral and Atul Sudan.
