JAMMU, Feb 9: J&K Sports Council organised a Cancer awareness programme for players, parents, coaches and staff on World Cancer Awareness Day in collaboration with Association of Colon & Rectal Surgeons Association of India and Vattikuti Foundation of USA.
Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports, Dr Jatinder Mishra was the Chief Guest and Rajeev Sharma Member J&K Sports Council was the Guest of Honour. The main speaker was Dr Shabnam Bashir who delivered the lecture on Cancer and how to prevent from the cancer among players, their wards and staff of J&K Sports Council, Dr Robinder Kour, Dr Sarminder Kour and Asma Jaan Dietician also delivered the lecture on Cancer and its preventions.
The other guests present were Mohd Hanif, Chief Sports Officer, Baljnder Singh Divisional Sports Officer and Managers Naveen Sharma and Sat Pal Singh. Large numbers of free cancer Awareness Pamphlets were also distributed.
