Cardamom futures remain up on rising demand

NEW DELHI, Oct 12:  Cardamom prices rose further by 1.25 per cent to Rs 1,036 per kg in futures trading today as participants engaged in enlarging their positions, tracking a firm trend at spot market on strong demand.
At Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in November went up by Rs 12.80, or 1.25 per cent to Rs 1,036 per kg in business turnover of 11 lots.
Marketmen said expanding of positions by traders on the back of rising domestic as well exports demand in the physical market against restricted arrivals from producing regions, mainly kept cardamom prices higher at futures trade. (PTI)
