NEW DELHI, Nov 8: Cardamom prices declined by Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today largely influenced by subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks.
Prices of cardamom such as chitridar, colour robin, bold and extra bold declined by Rs 10 each to conclude at Rs 740-790, Rs 650-660, Rs 670-690 and Rs 860-880 per kg, respectively.
Traders said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against increased supplies from producing belts mainly pulled down cardamom prices.
Following are today’s quotations per quintal:
Ajwain (per kg) 14,200-20,000, black pepper (per kg) 775-950, betel-nut (kg) 285-335, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,400-1,410 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,510-1,625.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 740-790, cardamom (colour robin) 650-660, cardamom bold 670-690, cardamom extra (bold) 860-880 and cloves 725-860. (PTI)
