RAMBAN, Mar 15: Inter-district, UT level Carrom tournament for boys under-17 and 19 age groups commenced at Government Higher Secondary School, Ramban, here today.
The tourney was formally declared open in the presence of Assistant Director Mool Raj Uttam, Department of Youth Services and Sports in coordination with the District Administration. A large number of players from Kashmir valley are also participating in the event.
“The department has organized back- to- back UT level events in Ramban district which will help in promotion of sports culture in the district,” said chief guest.
Earlier, District Youth Services and Sport Officer, Dharmveer Singh informed that as many as 120 students from 14 districts of both divisions are participating in the competition.
