JAMMU, July 1: The J&K Branch of Northern Indian Regional Council of “The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India” organized a blood donation camp, on the occasion of CA Foundation Day.
A large number of Chartered Accountants and students of CA course participated overwhelmingly and donated blood at Government Medical College, Jammu.
The blood donation camp was followed by Flag Hoisting ceremony for the first time at the local branch building, and distribution of material at SOS Children Village at Channi Rama. A plantation drive was also organized within the premises of SOS Children Village.
On the occasion of CA Day, the branch every year organizes a cultural programme and family get together of Chartered Accountants. However, this year, in wake of the Uttarakhand disaster, the branch decided to call off such celebrations and urged the members of the fraternity to come forward and help the victims of the tragedy.
The programme was conducted under the chairmanship of CA Dalip K Kaul.
Other executive committee members including CA Anil Sharma (secretary), CA Shalay Razdan (treasurer), CA Sandeep Pachnanda and CA Deepak Kapahi were also present along with host of other chartered accountants and students.
