Case registered against blackmailer on DM’s directions

KISHTWAR, May 29: On the directions of District Magistrate (DM) Angrez Singh Rana, a case  has been registered against a blackmailer.
The FIR has been lodged against Joginder Bandari, son of Roshan Lal Bhandari of Bhandari Mohallah Kishtwar for using filthy, abusive and unparlimentary language against the DM and creating ruckus in the office thereby disrupting the official activities.
“In view of circulation of provocative and misleading information by Joginder Bhandari to instigate the unemployed youth of Kishtwar against the Pakal Dul Project Project and District Administration in the social media and mainstream media, Joginder Bandari was called in the DM office keeping in view the law and order priorities”, the direction of DM reads.
However, Joginder Bhandari attended the office of DM Kishtwar, wherein the latter advised Joginder Bhandari regarding his acts and was suggested not to repeat his acts of spreading misleading and provocative information among youth of district through social media which he is doing since last few weeks.
He was informed that his acts are bound to unnecessarily create the law and order problem in the otherwise smoothly and peacefully working district.
“Joginder Bhandari instead of listening to the advice started using unparlimentary language against the DM”, the DM communication to SHO reads.
Meanwhile, the officers including Imam Din, ADDC Kishtwar, Kishori Lal Sharma, ADC and Yasir Balwan, CPO were present in the office chamber tried to pacify him and asked him the reason for his misbehaviour but the said person instead of listening to the officers started shouting loudly.
When contacted, SSP Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary confirmed that FIR Number 140/2018 under Sections 353, 504 and 506 RPC has been registered against Joginder Bhandari at Police Station Kishtwar.
“The police has reliable information that Bhandari in last few weeks collected Rs 200 per unemployed youth of the district to entertain their resumes for getting them jobs in the Pakkal-Dul Power Project and police is investigating that aspect as well”, SSP added.
